[T-Nation] Deconstructing the Computer Guy - Part 2

This is the second part of an article by Tony Gentilcore and Jimmy Smith which focuses on issues that face "The Computer Guy" - a term for those of us who sit in front of a monitor for most of our waking hours. Part One addresses the hour a day you spend working out, while this article addresses the other 23 hours of the day. Item 5 in this article changed my life. Ever since I started sleeping with a pillow under/between my knees, my perpetual lower back stiffness (from deadlifts) vanished. Long walks are pain free, the grass is greener, the flowers smell sweeter... Anyway, if just one of these 23 items proved that valuable to me, the other 22 are certainly worth taking a look at.

[NYTimes] The No-Stats All-Star

Michael Lewis's article about Shane Battier and sabermetrics in basketball. I haven't watched basketball the same since I read this.

[The Atlantic] The Shame of College Sports

Excellent article by Taylor Branch on the origins of the NCAA, the actual power they weild, and why they are evil.

[T-Nation] My Shoulder Hurts: The Finest Whine

This article includes a good little commentary by Tony Gentilcore on acromion (bone position above rotator cuff) which inhibits my motion and some good discussion on exercises that can be done around it. Therapy/mobility type exercises are included as well. Wish I had read this ten years ago.
